ライセンスとは、ソフトウェア ベンダーとの使用契約です。 Google Cloudが提供するライセンス付きソフトウェアを使用するには、ライセンスが必要です。たとえば、ライセンス付きのオペレーティング システム（OS）を Compute Engine 仮想マシン（VM）インスタンスで実行する場合は、その OS のライセンスが必要です。

ライセンスの種類と料金
Compute Engine のライセンスは次のいずれかのタイプです。各 OS バージョンに適用されるライセンス タイプについては、オペレーティング システムの詳細ページのライセンスをご覧ください。
無料ライセンス
無料で使用できます。
オンデマンド / 従量課金制（PAYG）
Google Cloud では、使用量に応じて料金がかかります。料金は OS によって異なります。詳細については、プレミアム イメージの料金をご覧ください。
Google から提供されるイメージには、独自の OS イメージを用意した場合には含まれない拡張機能が含まれています。
お客様所有ライセンスの使用（BYOL） / サブスクリプションの利用（BYOS）
元の OS ベンダーとすでに契約が結ばれているため、Google Cloud から課金されません。クライアントまたはサーバー バージョンの Windows の BYOL ライセンスを保有されている場合は、単一テナントノードを使用する必要があります。
